In mid-September 2009, I was kicking up my heels in South Carolina at the Type-A-Mom Conference. At one point, I needed to head back to my room and stepped into an elevator and it happened: I was offered a bag of PopChips. I said, no thank you but was told ‘Oh, you should try these because they are a healthier chip and taste great’. My reply was ‘If only they had Salt & Vinegar chips, I would be a happy girl’. And guess what happened? She whipped out a bag of Salt & Vinegar PopChips.
“Healthier, delicious, all-natural. Actually, we are all that and a bag of chips.” That is a saying straight from their site and that is why I love the chips. They have an all-natural pledge: no fake colors, no fake flavors, no preservatives, no fluorescent orange fingertips, and no wiping your greasy chip hand on your jeans.
They only use ingredients you can feel good about eating. They leave out the bad stuff, like hydrogenated oils and msg, that give snacking a bad name. Plus, each single-serve bag of popchips contains just 100 calories and 3.5 grams of fat and since they are made from all-natural ingredients, I prefer to eat them when I am craving salt and chips. Now, I am not a fool, I know the chips still have fat and salt and is not good for you per say but if you want or need some chips, this is a better alternative.
My Favorite: Salt & Vinegar : hands down as I can give into my craving and feel no guilt.
My Husband’s Favorite: Barbecue
My Daughter’s Favorite:Sour Cream & Onion
My Son’s Favorite: Original
I have not yet tried the Parmesan garlic potato and only tried the salt & pepper potato when I received the “Get Popped” box. The pepper taste is strong and overshadowed the salt but I loved it! Would you like to be sent your own “Get Popped” box of popchips?
You would? Well, this is simple:
1. Like the Savor the Thyme Fan Page AND leave a comment on the fan page telling me if you have or have not tried PopChips and if you have, which flavor is your favorite.
For 10 extra points, tweet ‘Entering to Win an @popchips ‘Get Popped’ box from @savorthethyme http://su.pr/1W8XbG ‘ then come back and leave the tweet url as a comment.
Lastly, PopChips has a Facebook Fan Page so go like them and share the Love.
Disclosure: I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of popchips and received a “Get Popped” box of popchips and a $30 gift certificate to thank me for taking the time to participate.
