A Heart made from Markers

My lovely daughter has been obsessed with coloring with markers all summer. We have spent countless hours coloring together and I have spent many more secretly watching her color. She is so meticulous that it fascinates me.

We also shared a monumental moment when we boughht a 96-count box of crayola crayons a week and a half ago when her markers went dry. I did not expect the joy and fascination that resulted, when to me this was a simple mommy-daughter jaunt to CVS.

Today I was going to put away laundry and she yelled ‘Do not come in here mommy, I am using my scissors’. uh-oh. ‘What?’ I said. ‘No, I am making something for you so do not come in’. When she emerged, this was the result. I LOVE it. What really cracks me up is that she left any white space on the paper.
