It’s been four years since my stem cell transplant. Four years since I was infused with new stem cells from my donor. Four years. In my prayers each day I express how thankful I am that my health is restored and maintained. I pray that it is maintained for another 40 or more years. I pray to grow old with my husband and to watch our children accomplish their dreams and continue to bring beauty to this world.
I look back through these pictures and it’s very painful. It is also amazing.
Amazing how far I have come.
Amazing what the human body can recover from.
There’s are many emotions that I have yet to share but right now, as I sit here, alone in a hotel room, my eyes are full of tears of thankfulness.
By the way, did I tell you I got another letter from my stem cell donor?
