Mastering Healthy Cooking Techniques

Today I received my first copy of Whole Living and the after perusing the Table of Contents, I decided to visit ‘The Healthy Cook’s Repertoire’.  What appealed to me most is that the objective is to master 5 easy prep techniques that aid in healthy cooking. These include: Poaching, Steaming, Stir-Fry, Roasting and Cooking in Parchment. I have decided that I want to focus on Poaching, Steaming and Cooking in Parchment.

I guess I am most excited about improving my techniques as we often experiment with flavors to make the same old dishes more exciting for everyone however, how often do we focus on changing up techniques for our own enjoyment? I will begin tonight by cooking a Cod with Tomatoes, Basil and Scallions in Parchment.

Shall we try to master these techniques together?
