Mad Science KNOW Magazine

Before I launched the most rewarding ‘career’ of my life (meaning becoming a Mom), I worked as both a Non-Clinical and Clinical Researcher at a Pharmaceutical Company. Yes, Science is a love of mine and I love watching my children learn about all areas of Science so imagine my joy to find Mad Science KNOW Magazine!

Geared to children 6 to 9, KNOW Magazine provides kids with age-appropriate articles, fun science and technology facts, games, puzzles, and experiments. The magazine will be published six times a year and you get your monies worth as it is free of outside advertising. The September/October issue we have been enjoying covers patterns, dinosaurs, shapes, origami and even wowed us with a transparent frog. This is the type of learning and entertainment that a Mom can feel good about (my 4 year old has enjoyed looking at the magazine as well).

Did you know that statistics show that the number of young adults pursuing careers in science in the U.S. pales in comparison to other countries? Yikes, begin to take steps to bring science alive by engaging and exciting children about science – it is as important as math, reading and writing.

What type of Science activites do you do in your house?

By the way, I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by  Mom Central on behalf of Mad Science and received the products necessary to  facilitate my review. In addition, I received a gift certificate to thank me  for taking the time to participate.

My oldest would probably appreciate this. He’s very engineering minded and loves learning how things work!
