Strawberry Apple Agave Nectar Breakfast On the Run

Today has been a busy and long day that began at 3 am as I prepared to leave on a trip to Oregon to take part in the Good Egg Project. I purposefully went to bed a bit hungry knowing that I would be very hungry when I woke up and be ready to eat.  My choice this morning was some sliced organic apples and strawberries dusted with cinnamon and agave nectar. Refreshing!

While on the first leg of the trip I could only think about getting an iced latte once we landed and that is exactly what I did. Then I noshed on some raisins, almonds and a SoyJoy bar.

One the second and longest flight, I realized I was quite hungry which was only reinforced when the kind gentleman next to me ate a United Airlines Thai Chicken Wrap.  I figured I would bite the bullet and buy one a bit later.  Then after helping the flight attendant try to turn around the bad attitude of one cranky woman, she tossed a free one at me – I offered to pay but she said it was for the good deed. Score! Luckily the sauce and chips did not include any additional freshness extenders in the ingredients list.

Speaking of traveling, did you know that I write for Traveling Mom?

What are some of your travel tips?
