Shoveling, Martha Stewart & Cooking Connections

Well gosh darn it, we had another huge storm visit us last week so I spent Thursday shoveling for three hours so the oil truck could bring us some warmth. Thank You to the sweet (and cute as a button in a lumber jack sort of way) town worker who plowed that last frozen 3 feet snow out of the bottom of the driveway and jammed it right into the mailbox (no really, I appreciate it)!

So after thawing out on a heating pad, I jotted down some questions for Ms. Martha Stewart (yes, the one and only) about her new show Martha Bakes. I almost asked her ‘Do you lick the beaters?’ But I chickened out! Why? Well, there were some prestigious newspapers on the call and figured I would be known as the blogger that asked Martha about licking beaters. Hum….maybe that would have been a good thing.  I will post the question/answer session a bit later.

Also, I have a fun announcement later today called ‘Cooking Connections’ that I think you will all love!

Did you know that I also write a daily post for The Family Kitchen? Here is a recap of last week
Crepes 101 – A Step by Step Tutorial
Chicken, Bacon and Caramelized Mac & Cheese
with How Sweet It Is
Vote for organic farmersto grant money from Stonyfield Organics
Chicken Enchilada Soup
Food Fest 365 – A Cookbook of Year-Round Food Holidays

I also write as Rhode Island Traveling Mom and published a story last week about Providence Restaurant Week.

How was your weekend?
