Happy Birthday Sweet Girl: My Daughter is Officially 7

Deep Breaths. I can say it: Today is my daughter’s 7th birthday.

I couldn’t help but let a few tiny tears full of love trickle onto her cheeks last night. My tears. Tears of a Mom who has been blessed with one of the best people on earth. I can feel my heart swell with admiration for her. I am so proud to be her Mother.

She brings so much joy and happiness to so many and I know she will make a positive impact on many more.  She is so kind and compassionate. She is also independent but a daddy’s girl in every sense of the word. She is a ‘tom-boy’ that has bright pink toenails and a sparkly headband.

She is gentle with her brother and friends but can break a shovel digging out big rocks in the garden. She refuses to use a child sized rake when raking leaves with her daddy but loves the security of her lamby.

I can’t speak this morning while I stare at this 7-year old wonder of our World.

I Love You Isabel. Happy Birthday to my Piggy-Pie.

Elle, I do not believe you are the mom to a 16 year old!

Looks adorable, keep her that age before she becomes a hellish pre-teen!
