Memorial Day & Taste of Home Flag Cake

What a fab-u-lous weekend! There was special time with family & friends, plenty of eating, play dates, a new and improved inflatable pool, an open house and fishing too!

Perfection!

Speaking of Memorial Day, celebrating freedom and those who serve, I found this great campaign between Taste of Home Magazine and the USO. Such an easy (and tasty) way to support our troops!

Taste of Home Magazine has partnered with The USO for a great initiative to give military families the chance to speak to their loved ones overseas by donating 10¢ for each unique visitor to their new Flag Cake recipe on the magazine’s website.

*Taste of Home will be donating 10¢ per click, which equals 2 minutes of talk time for service members
*Every $1 raised will provide 20 minutes of talk time for service members and their families
*Taste of Home will be donating up to $100,000 to the USO for this initiative
*The initiative will run through July 4th, Independence Day

And I love that Taste of Home is doing that – off to click away!
