Our New Family Minivan: The Honda Odyssey

Back in 2005, I had a 15 month old and a growing belly with baby #2. I wished for a minivan and after lots of searching, we bought a used 2003 van which served us well until the transmission went a year in a half ago. Let me correct that, the transmission that tosses the car from 1st to 2nd gear went but you could ‘coax’ it into gear and then it was fine.

However, as time wore on, the transmission got worse and we continued to save our pennies and run that van until it could no longer safely transport us. The time came and today we adopted a bouncing baby 2009 Honda Odyssey!

Cat Morrow, whom you wrote about a few months ago, is my daughter. I am so proud of her! Thank you for sharing her story on your website. I recently started a family cookbook and am building a website to post my family favorites and other web favorites. I love your website and enjoy the recipes. Keep up the good work!

Congrats! We just recently down-sized from the odyssey and we LOVED it! I still sometimes miss it, and I know the kids miss the DVD player!
