Slow-Cooker Pork Chops with Marinara Sauce (Dairy-Free, Gluten-Free and No Sugar Added)

I was staring out the window this morning and thinking about what to make for dinner when it hit me that my parents are going to arrive about noon today.

‘Oh my, what should I make for lunch?’ I now thought.

I stared into the fridge to survey ingredients and knew instantly that I would make a variation of this chicken recipe but using pork chops and a few modifications.

Super easy my friends, really.

If you have mushrooms, toss them in and you now have a Cacciatore.

Slow-Cooker Pork Chops with Marinara Sauce (Yield = 3-4 servings)
Ingredients:
1 1/2 pounds boneless, center cut pork chops
1/2 large sweet onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
3/4 teaspoon dried basil
1 bay leaf
1 cup low-sodium chicken broth or stock
1 1/2 cups quality marinara or tomato sauce
1 teaspoon fine sea salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
3-4 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

Directions
1. Place all of the ingredients into the slow cooker with the exception of the fresh parsley. Set the slow cooker to high for 3 hours or low for 6 hours.

2. Serve over a whole grain and top with fresh parsley.

This looks so easy and delish. Printing it out now. I think I’ll make it with my Rose Romano’s marinara sauce!
