A Day In The Life: Rebounding

This has been a weekend of laziness and laundry but not in the way you may expect on a Summer weekend. The laziness has been a recovery of sorts and the laundry included sickness covered towels, sheets and clothing. Yup, a stomach virus.

But it is not that straight forward. Our daughter started off with painful swimmer’s ear on Thursday which prompted a visit to the doctor, followed by a visit to the dentist which ended with a pulled tooth.

The kids spent the first half of Friday reading and relaxing before the belly issues began. We then spent the next 12 hours with a sick daughter.  At about hour nine, our son started with the stomach virus.

Thank you to friends who brought a present to our door for our daughter and my hubby who bought some books to bring some comfort and distraction.

Luckily, they have now regained their color, their appetites and we have spotted a smile or two.
