Mother Daughter Trip to Vermont

On June 6th, our daughter graduated from 8th Grade. On June 7th, we embarked on a mother-daughter trip to Cavendish, Vermont. We love to travel, and decided to  head North, and explore Cavendish and Woodstock, Vermont since we only had two days.

Naturally, we had to stop at the Yankee Candle Flagship store (Is it me, or is that other cow throwing some shade?). We left with some carefully selected candles, and then headed to Basketville where we picked up some goodies.

Once we unpacked the car, we headed out to look for covered bridges, and explore Woodstock. We loved browsing through the shops in downtown Woodstock. From the Yankee Bookshop, to Unicorn, to 37 Central Clothiers, I highly recommend walking all over Central Street and the adjacent roads. In fact, we ended up picking up another candle after falling in love with the scent of the candle burning in 37 Central Clothiers. While walking around, we found exactly where we wanted to have dinner (separate post coming).

Finding we were completely exhausted, we headed back to the house and binged on the show ‘Friends’ while cuddling on the couch. Unfortunately, we had to head back home the next morning and visit urgent care when it appeared that my daughter found she had an irritated eye that needed to be look at by a doctor.

We loved road tripping together, and look forward to traveling again soon.
