Worthy Kitchen Is Worth A Trip To Woodstock Vermont

A few days ago, I told you about the mother-daughter trip to Vermont, and said I would share where we ate. What I did not tell you is that we spent quite a bit of time roaming around to find exactly where we wanted to dine.

As soon as we approached Worthy Kitchen, we both said ‘Ohhh…., that looks neat’. I asked my daughter to look them up on her phone and see if she could pull up a menu. We continued on to visit a restaurant that my friend recommended.

To give the recommended restaurant a fair chance, we reviewed the menu there, but knew there wasn’t anything that really struck a chord with us, so we agreed to head back towards Worthy Kitchen. When you enter, you know you are somewhere special and unique. The gentleman at the counter asked if we have ever been there. We said ‘No’ and he explained that we order and pay at his counter, and then the food will be brought to us at our table of our choice.

We debated about ordering one of everything, but settled on the worthy mac’,  the house salad, and an order of street corn. As with many restaurants, they go a bit too heavy on the cheese in the mac n cheese (I know, who ever thought I would say that?!), but they made up for it with the crushed cheesy treats on top!

The pickled red onion made the salad special and the street corn is so good, I fought over it with a 14 year old. Luckily, there were two pieces. If you find yourself in Woodstock, Vermont, be sure to eat at Worthy Kitchen. Oh, they also use locally sourced ingredients, and have a great craft beer selections.
