Bowling, Soccer, Dunkin Donuts & Party Time at T.J. Maxx

September 25, 2010

It is official: I think I have a unique title of Bowling-Soccer Mom. See, on Saturday mornings one child has bowling league while the other has soccer league.  Since they are at the same time, my husband and I take turns with who takes who to what and where. One the way to soccer, I…

Campfire & S’mores on Friday Night

September 24, 2010

We have had a bout of Indian Summer around here and enjoying being outside a bit later in the day with friends. I love sharing food (orso salad), apple cider and a campfire. Plus, it is great to chat with adults while the young ones run around. That also included being chased by a toasted marshmallow on a stick….Run!

Orzo Salad

September 24, 2010

Today we are going to a school social and I was asked to bring an Orzo Salad. This recipe is one that is often requested and I am happy to oblige. Question: Do you know where your town’s bed and breakfasts are (hint for upcoming post)? Ingredients (serves 8+) 1 box of Orzo, cooked and…

The Time Between

September 23, 2010

Orange-Pineapple Glazed Ham

September 21, 2010

My kids are big ham fans so this week I picked up a small ham (already cooked) and wanted to add a glaze to it so I went the citrus route. I used a small can pineapple juice (from the ‘bar’ – don’t judge me), some orange juice and then added some garlic and fresh…

Necessities & Steve Madden

September 21, 2010

During my husband’s lunch break (uh, if he takes one), I ran to the store to pick up some and was dragged (okay, willingly walked) into an clothing consignment store and lookie what I scored for $12! Never worn Steve Madden tweed peep toes. Once I got home, I was hungry and made a mozzarella,…
